Logistic Green Label Lite

Logistic Green Label Lite is born: simplicity, transparency and concrete commitment to the environment

Logistic Green Label Lite is the official prototype of the environmental certification system for the logistics sector, proposed by Logivery srl and approved by the DAO Logistic Green Label with 100% of votes in favour. This project aims to accompany the world of logistics towards a more transparent, responsible and low environmental impact future.

What is Logistic Green Label Lite?

It is a simplified but fully operational version of the “Logistic Green Label” environmental labeling system, which allows you to:

  • calculate the CO₂e emissions associated with each shipment,
  • estimate the environmental pressures related to transport and logistics,
  • offset these emissions in a verifiable and transparent way,
  • obtain a certified digital label to affix to each package shipped.

This experimentation phase allows the proposed method to be tested in the field, collect real data and refine the model in view of the full version.

A label, a guarantee

Each shipment that meets the requirements receives a Logistic Green Label Lite including:

  • the CO₂e emission level,
  • the chosen offset project,
  • a QR Code for public and transparent data verification.

The label becomes a true sustainability certificate, useful for companies, logistics operators, and consumers.

How does it work?

The process involves five simple steps:

  1. Collecting shipment data (weight, volume, transport modes, route segments).
  2. Calculating emissions using a standardized model based on the GLEC Framework.
  3. Selecting the offset project (Nature-Based Solutions, Hybrid, or Engineered).
  4. Generating the label with environmental data and certification code.
  5. Traceability via QR Code, linking to all emission and offset details.

Unanimous approval: the support of the National Association of Engineers

In addition to Logivery srl, the first supporting members of the DAO participated in the vote that led to the official approval of the model.

Among these it stands out the National Association of Engineers, an authoritative point of reference for engineering graduates, committed to promoting public policies in favor of the profession and disseminating fundamental information on new regulations and market trends.

How does it work?

The process is divided into five simple phases:

  1. Collection of shipment data (weight, volume, vehicles used, routes travelled).
  2. Calculation of emissions according to a standardized model
  3. Choice of compensation project (Nature Based Solutions, Hybrid or Engineered).
  4. Generation of the label containing environmental data and the certified code.
  5. Traceability via QR Code, with access to details on emissions and compensation.

Why start with the Lite version?

The Lite version is designed to be:

  • Easy to implement, with predefined parameters and clear formulas;
  • Accessible to SMEs looking to take their first steps toward sustainability;
  • Realistic, considering real operational conditions;
  • Transparent, with verifiable online information.

An opportunity for innovation

Joining the Logistic Green Label Lite pilot means actively contributing to the creation of a new sustainability standard for the logistics sector.
A label not just to say "we are green," but to prove it with numbers, data, and real actions.
